Those tiles look fantastic! Excellent paint job!
Crazy thought: At the Micro Attack scale, you could do the same tile painting technique on a piece of sheet steel or maybe even a large steel baking sheet from a restaurant supply store and put magnets on the bottoms of the miniature bases. This would let you "pause" the game if you only had a few minutes to play, move the board (even stand it on it's side), and pick where you left off with all the miniatures still in their places.
Crazier thought: Repaint your refrigerator, add the magnetic bases, and have a vertical battlefield in your kitchen! My wife would kill me- even without repainting the fridge!

Received a new pack of BattleForce minis, and started to paint the ones I already had. Here's a couple pics (left to right): Raptor, Nova Cat, Mad Cat II, Mad Cat, Rifleman.

I've never seen those Reaper minis before. They look pretty cool. Speaking of Reaper, I really like the looks of the CAV line of mechs, but wanted to go smaller/cheaper.

How does CAV look next to the paper minis or the MWDA figures?
They look fantastic on the website, and I know Reaper is a great company with very high quality. I have had a few of their minis in my box for a long time.

I'm really not sure how large the Reaper CAV minis are, especially in comparison to other minis. I do believe many are around 2 inches tall, so they may be close to the MW minis. Also, attached is a PDF file containing some stats for the minis that I've collected. I tried to keep close to what they are in BattleTech, but they're definitely not direct copies. I've made the Nova Cat and Rifleman "Large" Mechs in Mech Attack, due to their larger mini size and equipment. In doing so, I was able to up their movement. The Rifleman doesn't have much armor in terms of a Heavy, but it does have some firepower. ;D None of these are set in stone. I need to start playtesting these builds even if the minis aren't painted yet. Attachments:

Those stats look just about right. The same scale problem is true of the Spider from wizkids. It looks more like a medium at least, but has just the two obvious lasers. I like what you did with the Hellion particularly, though the MGs on the MWDA model are either twinlinked or doubled.
And thanks for the low down on the model sizes. I looked over at the Reaper forums and they were saying about the same thing.
It would be great to see your 6mm set in more paint and whatnot. Are you going to do any forests or other obstacles and buildings and such?

Thanks for the comments, Chugosh. I like that Mech Attack isn't a simpler copy of Battletech, but it does make it more difficult to exactly match mech stats. That's OK with me, though. I'd just like to try to keep the "spirit" of the mech. One thing that makes it harder is the scale of the minis. From what I've heard/seen, the normal Battletech minis from Iron Wind Metals really aren't in scale with each other. The same seems to be true for the smaller scale minis I have. Oh well.
As far as painting goes, I'm about the slowest painter on earth, plus I have gamers ADD, so I get distracted easily. I have minis in 28mm (Incursion), 15mm (horror & sci-fi), and now 6mm (sci-fi & Mechs).
For buildings, I purchased some 6mm ones made by Brigade Games. I plan to make some hills and other vertical terrain too, but real-life keeps getting in the way.

Yeah, I understand about real life, sure enough! I also know well the joy of ADD, gamer and otherwise. Why else is there no pictures of my completed armies for any game I have dabbled in in the last ten years?!
Baby steps, brother!

I would be tempted to leave the distance units as is... since the 6mm scale gives you more room to work with.
Armless Mad Cat - I like it... kinda looks like a Jenner...
PDF - I like it... especially your use of engine upgrades...

Dagger - I think I have some of those Germy buildings downloaded already. I've re-scaled some of the 25mm buildings for use in 15mm zombie gaming.
I'm brewing some ideas about making rock outcrops that I'll (hopefully) be able to use in both 15mm and 6mm games to provide some cover. I like to be able to use terrain for mulitple scales.

Due to real life, my painting & gaming time has been severely limited. I've powered through and have started painting more of the BF scale minis. I hope to have 8 finished soon and play a game of Mech Attack.
