Hi, I'm new to these forums but not the game. To start with, I love fast and easy games to play and WOW did I find a gem to replace the overly bloated BT game! I also like marrying up rpg's with miniature games for non-personal fighting. To make a long and boring story shorter (and hopefully less boring) I run a space campaign rpg using my homebrew rules set. I've been looking for a rule set for miniature gaming to compliment my homebrew for space battles, mechs, and other ground and air forces and your Mech Attack game works perfectly. It's very pliable and can be used for any era combat and/or combatants. I've attached one of the cards I use for a cruiser. The best part of your game is that it's not only simple, but visual as well! I hope you don't mind me using your game for my own purposes, but the rule set is just too cool to be used for mech type combat engagements alone! Maybe you could use the rule set you have to produce other games. Please continue to resist the bloat and complexity trap most others have fallen into (SFB and BT i'm looking at you). Having additional OPTIONAL equipment (flamers and jump jets) is fine, but adding to the rule set to make them work would eventually ruin the game. Attachments:

Great idea. I'm glad you're enjoying the rules, and feel free to twist/tweak them however you like.
Keeping them simple and streamlined is a priority. There are too many systems that try to be more of a "simulator" and become bogged down with rules... so I was going for more of an abstract and playable approach.

I'd love to here more about your space battle campaign. What type of story? Who are the heroes and who/what are the villians? Are you using Mechs in space or fighters and starships or both? What are the "sensors" listed on the cruiser card you made?
