One of the things that appealed to me was choosing weapons for a game.
Do you find that weapons stay in if you don't glue them? Especially the arms...

Especially the arms... andy I glue mine in place but that's just my personal preference. Mainly for swappable weapons it will come down to how you cut the slot on the weapon and the slot where it's being mounted, a thinner gap will grab a lot better where as if you cut the gaps too wide the weapon will be more prone to moving or falling out. I also remembered a while back someone mentioned using a repositionable glue but I've never used it before so I can't say how well it would work.

I'm really attracted to getting a handful of mech bodies and adding weapons to them for particular games. I'm new to the game (haven't played yet), and would like to try lots of combinations.
But I get the impression that the one mech I have made so far (a light) would be fragile, and I'd wear it out quickly trying to fit weapons onto it each time. So far, they do seem like they'd stay on OK for a game.
I suppose I ought to decide whether I'll have to make more mechs replacing them as they wear out, or having enough for the combinations I want to use.

I guess I really enjoy both building the minis and playing Mech Attack so I just glue the weapons on so I don't have to worry about wearing the slot out (tho 110lb cardstock does hold up really well) and if I want a different configuration I just build it too lol. Another really fun game (but more in depth) that I like to use the Mech Attack minis and terrain for is Gruntz.
