I've been toying with some ideas for a Space version of Hex Grid: Battle Tiles and I was wondering: What elements you would like to see in a space terrain map? So far my list of possible layers includes: - Asteroids (rock and ice)
- Small Planets and Moons
- Space Junk/Debris/Wreckage
- Satellites
- Cosmic Radiation and Space Storms
- Defensive Force Fields
- Worm/Black Holes and other Temporal Anomalies
- Hyper Space Jump Gates
What else would you like to see and what games would you use Space Tiles for?

Also: What grid sizes would you like to see?

two inches will work for most of the games I've seen. All of the things you mention sound great. It would be also great to have at least two types of nebula space as well as starfield. At least one space game takes place entirely in a luminescent purple nebula like space (Slipstream for Savage Worlds).

This may or may not be a good suggestion for the tile pack itself, but maybe some 2.5D asteroids and space debris to float around the map for some added depth.
