Being a HUGE fan of Classic BattleTech, I was never a big fans of Clan Mechs... except for one in particular. The 50 ton (Medium) Mech had a moderate speed and jump jets. It also house 12 medium lasers... I couldn't think of playing a Mech based game without having one. So... by changing a couple torso sections around, I was able to use these pieces of Mech Factory to make my favorite Mech. Attachments:

To give the impression of the salvo of lasers blistering the Mechs in combat, I put in the twin-linked light Machine Guns. This will give 6 shots on one Mech (if they all hit... and since you can re-roll misses). This conforms to all standard rules, as well as my House Jump Jet rule. I am VERY happy with the diversity and layout of these miniatures! Attachments:

LOVE IT.... you did a fantastic job of thinking "out of the box" with the pieces when you put this together. It goes to show that the modular nature of the new mech designs must be working (^_^)

First off, THANKS! It is awesome to hear that coming from YOU!
Secondly, it REALLY is an amazing set. It is easy to do cool things with an awesome program. (Besides, "thinking outside the box" and kit-bashing is what I do. Ever see what I can do with PaperMakeiT's SHUFFLER?) ;D

Genius? ME?  Nah, just making a Black Hawk. As time allows, I will try to do more "CBT" stuff. Things like the Shadowcat, Vulture and Madcat are sure things, because they are so close to your style. Phoenix Hawks and other Inner Sphere Mechs will be harder because they have more iconic designs. Still, with the AWESOME game system, you can easily make a Warhammer that may look more like a Rifleman, but we know what it is! Genius... that is still funny. I normally get "Mad Scientist." I get that a LOT! |
