I'm starting a thread to show what I have so far.
First my Mechwarrior Dark Age mechs. I have put a couple ideas about the armaments on the pictures of each mech, but each could run with variant weapons easy enough. (in fact each could stand in for whatever we stat up, right?).
First is the Loki or Hellbringer. Obviously a Heavy with two very large guns and a missile pod. The big guns could be cannons or lasers. On the BT version, they are PPCs.
Next is the Hellion, a light mech with twin linked lasers or MGs.
Third is the Spider. Originally a light mech, but the model is almost as big as the Loki, so I would call it a medium.
And last for now is the Solitaire. A light mech with a heavy cannon. What's not to love?
All of these are on 45mm wood bases from Litko. A bag of 25 of these and another of 50 25mm cost me about $26 if I remember right. I plan on making up some paint mud to fill in and texture the bases. Paint with talcum mixed in and maybe a bit of sand.
