After about a month of tiring work, I sat down this evening to relax and decided to build a Mech--something I haven't done in a long time. Before I know it, my son (who just graduated high school!) comes downstairs and we start talking about Armor Grid, and before we know it, we're tossing around house rules ideas, campaign possibilities and rules governing them, specific army lists, and whatnot. I'm not sure what will become of it but it sure did get the imagination flowing. Since our gaming group has grown from 2 of us to about 5, perhaps we can get some games in and try out some of our ideas. If we do and we come up with something good, I'll share. BTW, this is what I built by the time we finished talking Please ignore the misspelling on the Stat Card

One thing we decided is that we need more terrain, perhaps some urban terrain. Here is a sample of what I built today After suffering some devastating blows from the War Hound, the Hammer Tank tries to take shelter behind the ruins. Using this opportunity to prove their worth, a unit from the 13th Penal Legion provides the distraction.

www.davesgames.netI reduced them to fit the scale and mounted them on matte board. I'm happy with how they came out

Here's another terrain piece for the Urban layout This is the office building from WWGs mayhem set (nonTerralinx). The roof that comes with it doesn't really work, so I Gimped a generic one. Not sure I like it, but for now it'll do.

Those terrain pieces looks great... A few more of those with a street layout and you'll have a great urban battlefield.

One of the discussions my son and I have had was about something different as far as our usual units go. This might become a future antiaircraft unit, a flak cannon of sorts
