Well, I was bored at work (as I often am) and I got to thinking about what I could do for a Mech Attack scenario. The first thing that came to mind was Capture the Flag.
I scoffed at this idea at first thinking that it would never work out right in a minis game, but with some minor alterations, I think this could turn out to be really fun.
Setup: -As outlined in the rulebook with one exception - There is a token (used to represent the flag) placed directly in the center of the board. You may even want to use a ruler to be absolutely sure in the interest of fairness.
Primary Objective: -Capture and hold the flag. Only infantry is allowed to capture the flag (hence the name Limited CTF). A unit captures the flag if it ends the round in base contact with the flag token. No unit is allowed to voluntarily drop the flag. The first team to hold the flag for five consecutive rounds achieves primary victory.
Secondary Objective: -Destroy every unit of the opposing team to achieve secondary victory.
Note: I make a distinction between primary and secondary victory for those players wishing to use this scenario in a campaign or brief series of scenarios. A primary victory would award more victory points to the winner than the secondary, hopefully keeping players thinking about capturing the flag and not just outright death match.
Short and sweet. Let me know what you think!

I like that idea... especially the secondary victory condition.
It would also be cool if two opposing Troop units were base-to-base with the flag, they could each make a D10 roll and to who gets away with the flag... high roll wins.
This leads me to another scenario where there is a pile of "flags" and each side gets points based on how many flags they bring back to base before the game is over.

You would have to have a significant difference in the victory points or I think most people would avoid the hassle of capturing the flag and just go about destroying the enemy. Another thought is the victory points could be awarded based on how long you hold the flag with maybe a bonus for controlling it at the end of the game.
