These new designs look great! I can't wait until they get released!

I'm back to working on the new vehicle designs! Sorry for the delay, but my work circumstances have been less than wonderful lately. So I needed to take some time to update my portfolio in case new opportunities present themselves. If you want to check it you can see it HERE. Back to the WIP! Here is a sample of the "truck" body for the Ultra Light Vehicles to show my work process: The green, yellow, and blue lines represent the outlines of the different movement systems over top of the body. The red lines show the proposed shapes of the texture details for the body. The "neon spaghetti" helps me figure out how to make the design work for wheels, tracks, or hovers. This way I can make body panels and armor that fit around any one movement system and not look out of place on any of the others.

The neon spaghetti has been removed and here is the "Truck" Ultra Light Vehicle body with (and without) the different movement platform options:

Very cool... I'm especially liking the wheeled option.

Very cool! I'd be tempted to try cutting the movement part out of foamcore for added dimension.

I was thinking of doing something along the same lines... except by using layers of cardstock. Great minds think alike

Seems to me the layers of card would have the advantage of making internal differences to add crunchyness to the model, like axles and whatnot, but with a little paper for edging, I think the foamcore would do best for the treads. Either option is way fiddlier than single cut outs for each side, thus more time consuming. Having all of the above to work with would be awesome, of course. The point being, the drawings so far are inspiring ideas in my grey matter, so they are that good.

Ultra Light Vehicles are done!!! ;D Well, "done" except for final test building... Anyone want to be a test builder?

Printer is iffy, I can only do line art or pink, but I'm willing to try it.

That looks pretty darn good, even if it is the grayscale version. I especially like the "laminated" look of the tracks. I wounder how it would look if the track section were double thickness... as a mod of course, not as a design change.

Nice! I like the way you shifted the tracks back slightly. It gives it a faster moving feel. These miniatures will come with the redesigned weapons that come with the new Mechs in the Mech Factory set. Basically the designs have a similar feel, but they have been streamlined a bit by removing the ammo clips and giving a uniform mounting slot size.
